The production person I want to work with loved the idea of using "clocks" from Coldplay. I told him of the ideas I had envisioned...mostly the pacing and how I want the shots to work together. He loved the idea and he will try to get the song cleared. That can be a sticky process because ESPN doesn't have ASCAP so the company has to buy songs on a song by song basis...which is why you don't hear much commercial music on ESPN...(unless its X-games). I hope that it all works...

Well with baseball coming up I want to cut the opening of the season to Coldplay. I am really into this song called "clocks", I think it would be great to cut to. I will have to plant seeds soon to make it a reality.

I edited the Basketball All-Star tease for NBA Tonight and I thought it turned out great. It took six hours to cut one minute and 10 seconds and I wanted still more time.

I have gotten some good emails put into my file from the Super Bowl trip so I hope it will help with elvauation/raise etc.

Well the total damage is 104 hours in six days. The paycheck will be nice but I didn't get to enjoy the area much. I can't complain though because when I left Connecticut it was 6 degrees and when I landed in San Diego it was 70!...not real. The game was a disappointment but you will sometimes get blowouts in Super Bowls.

This week has been one busy cluster fuck. I will have put in a 100 week and all of the days seem to run together. I blast U2 inside the ESPN edit compound and people seem to like it. I had the outtakes with me and played those for some and wondered how I got them.....I just said, "well I was at the sessions.....)
Only have seen a few celebrites in town for the game but I am sad because i haven't been able to go out much. San Diego is a nice town with lots of good food. Everyday...

We have downloaded several elements into the Avid today so we are about ready to head out. ESPN has had some managerial moves done and thankfully, mine has not been transfered. Leo is a great manager for the editors.
My daughter Grace had some shots yesterday. Although she is only six months old, she seems to remember her shots from the last time. She was hysterical the whole time but it has to be done. She was better after about 10 minutes.
