-- very thought provoking and shocking book, as are most of McEwan's novels. Kind of Cold War noir thriller human relations study
-- I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of great fiction

Apparently it's been over TWO YEARS since I posted How does time go so fast?

I was reading over my posts about hating college and all that... how life does change your viewpoint. Now I'm trying to get back into school!

Anyway, I think I'll post here more often.

I'm so excited! My friend Kelly and I were just messing around today, running some errands and such. We had some time to kill, so I offhandedly said something about tattoo places... and then we both stopped and looked at each other. So we came home, got the design (I've known what I wanted for, literally, years, ever since I saw the band on tour), and went for it! 2 hours later, I'm here writing about getting it! It's my first one... but I'm sure they'll be more

For those of you not familiar with "The Office"... YOU SHOULD BE!

I ordered the first series on dvd this morning... and I can't wait until it comes! Even though I'll have to cause it's not released yet... I'm excited cause a new series starts this October! I've already enlisted my mom to tape all the episodes

In other news, life has been zooming by... and I'm still a week behind it! *sigh*

It's the premise on which Virginia Woolf built her novel, Mrs. Dalloway, and I think it's so insightful. I've been looking at my days lately, and indeed, each one describes my life. We live though so many...

But I have been having a wonderful time... I basically just read and write and watch movies all day! THIS IS THE LIFE!

And I work occasionally... but mostly I just go the library and check out stacks of books... it feels good to do that... I haven't done that since middle school...

Mutually exclusive?

So I went to church with my father for Father's Day this past Sunday, and I was looking forward to returning. I haven't been to church really in about 2 years and I've missed it. I'm a very spiritual person and I enjoy the feeling of closeness with God when I go to church. But religion had turned me off so I stopped going. Anyway, I returned...

But I almost felt like leaving. The sermon was about fatherhood (obviously for Father's Day) and the preacher...

So I am finally starting to get some answers on what's been ailing me... unfortunately the news is not good It's not life-threatening (yet), so that's one of the brighter points.... it's just going to be awfully hard. blargh. and I'm going to have to go through some painful tests very soon... so I'm not looking forward to that. Fun thing is... I'll be worrying about this for the rest of my life... how about that, huh? As if I hadn't already been through enough...

I wish I had a place of my own. I'm home from school now and I've been having a lot of trouble adjusting. I like the freedom of school life, but not school life lol... It's just hard to be home all the time and around people who are used to me being hours away. And then, of course, there's all the normal family politics... they just don't realize how much pressure they put on me. blargh....
