After a long two-year battle with cancer which lead to renal failure amongst other problems, my Mom passed away this afternoon.

It was peaceful and painless and she's no longer suffering. She's been suffering for a long two years and especially since March. Exactly 21 days ago, she was brought into the ER for seizures and hasn't been able to speak or eat or drink since. The doctors and nurses expected her to live for 2-5 days after she came home from that last hospital stay. But...

As much as I like and respect Bono, I feel that pleba has turned into the "Bono Forum." No matter what's posted, everything turns into a droolfest about how hot he is. It's gotten downright scary. I love pleba for the wealth of pictures, but I'd rather not go through a thread looking for the new pictures and skipping over 50 about how someone wants to jump his bones. I was lucky enough to see R.E.M. in St. Louis this past Tuesday night, thanks to Greg and Blair. They were amazing and they put on a much better show than the last tour. They were all having a great time, getting into it, Michael Stipe even jumped out into the crowd. I've never heard of him really doing that before. I get to see them two more times too.

A bunch of us crazy U2-Midwest peeps (Greg, Blair, Erin D.,Tim, Jason and Uumar) took a chance and went to a theater downtown that was having a special screening of the new Slane DVD last night. XRT was giving away passes and we didn't think we'd be able to get in, but we did!

I got there a little late, but not by much. I only missed "Elevation." OMG...it was AMAZING to sit with other U2 fans and watch such an historic concert of theirs on the big screen....

I'm being sued for $30,000+ for damages to the guy's motorcycle, personal injuries and something about damaging his "body, mind and soul".



I have no idea what any of that means really. The court date is Oct. 30th.

My Aunt's calling the insurance company in the morning to see exactly what's going on.

I know everyone says not to worry...but of course I'm going to. I don't know how this works. And there's no way...

I was outside of the United Center on Chicago's West Side, freezing my arse off in the General Admission line for Chicago 6. It was SOOOOO cold that day!!! Gah!! Last year and today are SO much warmer. Kinda frustrating. Heh.

This was my only U2 show I saw from inside the heart. It certainly was amazing, to say the least.

One of the highlights was during "New York." Bono was right in front of my friends and I doing his "Statue of Liberty"...

Besides the whole "I'm being sued deal" on the way to work this morning my Mom tells me she threw up in her sleep. That's always nice to hear.

This is a nightmare. My aunt called the insurance company and the guy is suing her and I personally. Her because she's the one that insured me and me because I was in the accident. I'm not even sure how this works. They're going to issue a summons to us then we have to send it to the insurane company. I can still be called in to defend myself.

Everyone keeps telling me it wasn't my fault...but I feel like it was. Even the police ruled that we were both equally at fault. It's just...

My aunt just showed me a letter from our insurance company saying she's going to be summoned for a car accident she was involved in. Well...she hasn't been in an accident in a long time. But I was in one two years ago. At the time, I was on her insurance policy, but the car was in my name. I'm just really confused over it. Are they going to sue me? The accident was not my fault.
