So I went to register for classes for next semester. They told me I can't as there is a hold on my registration. OK, I ask, "Whats' the hold?"

"We need your parent's official original bank statement."

Me: "OK!"

I ask my dad to send it to me. He said he gets them delivered in his email, like about 99.9% of people I know. He forwards it to me, I print a perfectly clear copy and I take it to the registration office.

You know what's NOT fun? Being hardcore checked out.

The difference is: a person looking at you, smiling, and looking you up and down once, as opposed to a person looking at you, smiling, looking you up and down, winking, looking you up and down again, grinning, and then looking you up and down once more... and winking again for good measure.

There's just a line of creepiness that shouldn't be...

So at work, we had some employee incentives to get us to get more customers to open store credit cards. For each approved credit card application we open, our names would be entered into 3 prize drawings:

Grand prize: an $100 gas gift card.

Second: A $70 gift certificate to Clinique cosmetics in our store.

Third: A $50 in-store gift card to use in the shoe department, clothing, etc.

I requested them not to enter my name into the drawing...

Have your cellphone set to vibrate, and set it on a plastic bedside table covered in loose change. The resulting noise is a wierd rattling, buzzing, clanking clinking combination right in your ears that will truly frighten you at 8 am when it's your day off and you didn't set your alarm the night before because you planned on sleeping in.

Interesting anecdote from work today:

I was helping this priest at my register today. We got into a long discussion on which is better: cats or dogs.

We talked about faithfulness, compassion, and the ability to give and receive both in both species. It was..... quite an interesting convo.

So, I realize that there comes a time when a person can handle only so much. Over the past couple days, I've been dealing with some stressful issues, and now it's just kind of building up slowly. Things sort of just pile onto my brain and it's one stress after another. And that's when the tiniest little things start to piss you off. What to do.... Maybe go home for the summer.... relax a bit, come back refreshed to the US in the fall. I don't know.... I am so not a quitter, but a little get-away...
