Rachel and I went and saw Lifehouse at the Wiltern in LA last night. The opening act was really good. It was a guy name Matt Nathanson. I picked up his CD after the show and have been listening to it today while painting, doing yard work....all my weekend chores. It's kind of mellow mid tempo pop/rock. I hate being sick. I have been fighting something for 2 weeks and finally went to the doctor yesterday and found that I have Acute Bronchitis. Now I am stuck at home for a few day until I get myself better. I guess it could be worse. I had to cancel rehearsal for tonight. I'm bummed because we are doing a benefit show at the Hard Rock Cafe and were planning on adding a few new songs for the show. Hopefully we'll have time next week.

The fires in So Cal have been brutal. The Santiago fire broke out on Sunday night very close to my home. Rachel and I were pretty concerned that night but everything ended up ok for us.. In spite of everything going on recently, this has been a good week for me. There are too many good things going on right now, both in my work and personally. I recently had mentioned the relationship between my ex-wife and I. Until this past weekend she had never granted me an extra time with Taylor and Andrew. Daisy has another seizure yesterday. Thankfully I was home at the time and was able to grab her and hold her so that she did not hurt herself. This one was shorted than the last and she seemed to be back to normal pretty quick.

Our Vet wants to do a liver test and put her on bromide. Hopefully this will work for her. Fortunately both have happened when the boys were not here. I'm not sure how they would react. I'd rather not have them have to see their dog this way. ...

Took Daisy to her new Vet yesterday. The Vet agreed with the thought that Daisy more than likely survived distemper as a puppy and that it could be the cause of the seizure. She drew bloody to do a full chem screening. I should have more info on those results today. At this point, I don't think we are going to be giving her any meds but that is still an option.

Since the event, Daisy has been fine. She was her normal self yesterday and does not appear to have any lasting effects...

Last night I was give an awful scare by my dog Daisy. While sitting a watching TV with Rachel, Daisy jumped up and was jerking around. At first I that she saw a fly and was trying to catch it as she often does. It was quickly apparent that there was something wrong. She was jerking her leg, and her body began convulsing violently.
