This month it's a Elliott Smith kick... it's such a bummer that he passed away. They never did close the investigation regarding cause of death. Did he really stab himself? Because I'm a sucker like that, I have agreed to advise the new (high-school age) youth group at my synagogue. This is in addition to the class I teach on Tuesday nights (8th graders). So they had their first planning meeting tonight for their first event, a pool party. There were only 6 kids at the meeting but this is really the beginning stage, and the pool party has already been scheduled for them; all they have to do is send out flyers and then bring chips and stuff.
