Either my map skills are seriously off or the maps on Flickr aren't right. I mean I've spent so much time in Pickering in my life I dread to think how many months/years it all adds up to and the streets on the Flickr map just don't seem right or accurate. I don't even agree with the street names (for example I had no idea that the lower part of Whitby Road is actually called 'High Back Side' ).

Over the past week or so I've been looking for something. This something isn't vital or anything but it is something that if I could only find, it could be very useful. I've looked in all the obvious places (and in all the 'there's absolutely no reason why it should be here but I'm desperate' places) and I still can't find it.

I've now got this growing awful feeling that I left this something languishing in a folder in my tutor teacher's room when I left school two years ago... ...

No warning message. No sudden lock-up. No pop-up. No crashing. No without warning switch-offs. Just random bleeping and other strange noises. Not all the time, just very, very occassionally

1. Got a brand new all-in-one printer yesterday. It's great except it didn't come with a USB cable so I can't connect it to the PC So next time I'm in town I'm going to have to buy one though odds on you won't be able to find one for love nor money so I'll have to wait till I'm next in York or Scarborough (ie. never).

2. I'm convinced that digital cameras decide on a whim whether a photo will come out well or not. I fully realise that it's probably just me who doesn't...
