always used to vote AB but changed my mind now.

AB was and will likely still be my all time favorite album (of any bands)....but if for years, I liked JT a lot....I have now grown to love it a lot...just not enough to beat AB though!

These posts don't really make sense. This is a classic case of "I'm a better rock fan because I go for experimental!" There's no denying that: you just said Achtung Baby is better than The Joshua Tree because the latter is more liked.

I think The Joshua Tree's a better album from a cultural standpoint, but Achtung Baby's my personal favorite. It's neck-and-neck though on any given day, just depends what mood I'm in.

Much as I love Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby wins hands down. Maybe it's the fact that it's more European, I don't know. I think it is absolutely perfect.
