FENDER Vs MARSHALL
what do u guitarists/ bassists prefer fender amps or marshall amps?
My choice is fender by miles...I think marshalls a good amp but not as good as fender. plus I think marshall amps are too over rated, and every band that use them all have the same guitar sound. whereas fender amps have veristle amps with versitle settings. what do u lot prefer? |

I use both, splitting my signal to a Fender Vibrolux and a Marshall JCM-800 as they complement each other. The Vibrolux has some warm lows while the JCM-800 rules in the midrange. While I love the clean sound of a Fender I think Marshalls tend to do hi-gain better. I'm still looking for a way to bring my old Fender Twin back into the mix. It had an awesome clean sound.

I used a Rivera M100. Basically, it sounds like a Fender mixed with a Marshall as there is almost a mixture of clean and dirty tone with excellent sustain without being all that overdriven.
