LOL. Well, the Everglades are quite large. This is off of 41 south of Naples, closer to Everglades City. We go on this boardwalk looking for alligators and panthers.

Yeah, I've driven by it on my way to Naples and seen all the alligators, but we've never stopped. And hell if I've seen a panther. The only one I've ever seen is my school mascot, Roary.
But I want to do an airboat ride. My friends all did it as field trips in elementary school and I feel like I missed out.

I've never seen a panther either, but I look every time! People say they are gone, but the local rangers say they are there.

I've never done the airboat ride. We are too cheap so we do free stuff like hikes and beaches.

Well the number of them are really diminishing. I think there are less than 150 in the wild or something equally distubring. They always do conservation shows at the County Fair and they usually bring in a young panther raised in captivity.

Edit: Wikipedia says that there are only 80 to 100 panthers left both captive and in the wild. How sad.
People need to stop moving to South Florida. My family is ready to pack it up soon anyway. Once all the grandparents are gone.

Wow - you guys have some incredible photos!

Mine are mostly scans of old photos, so the quality isn't that great. These are a few that I have access to right now. I may post more later.

That is indeed sad! Along Daniels Parkway from RSW Airport going toward Fort Myers, there are signs along the road, Panther Crossing. Didn't see any, of course. Gorgeous photos, everyone!
