That move was used on me once. He swore it wasn't a move though. Apparently, my seatbelt alone wouldn't have done an adequate job of holding me back.

sometimes the move isn't really "the move" though. sometime you forget that there is a person sitting in the passenger seat and not a bunch of crap you were too lazy to take into the house (ie books, bags, shoes, mail, other assorted crap like a cat carrier) and you put your arm out to prevent the crap from landing all over the floor b/c you know if you are too lazy to take it off the front seat you're surely not going to pick it up off the floor.

i'm just sayin.
