True...it's harder to get into the superthread than it was to get into PGP

PGP > superthread

The main problem with the superthread is there aren't enough Plebans in it And it probably depends what time of day you're in there, as to how 'in' you are. I dunno. I don't really know most of the people who post there while I'm at work, anyway.

Hope you're doing okay, Weldy That's very awesome how your mum organised everything so you wouldn't have to worry about a funeral. I imagine that's the last thing a grieving family would want to think about at a time like that. So good on her.

Congrats on your neice, Wild! That's a cool name.

And congrats on your new feline friend, Zooey!

Glad things are going well with you and Sarah and Abby, VP

Well, the thing about the superthread is that it's basically been the same group of people since we first began taking over song survivor threads in the dead of night in EYKIW. Sure, the random person will come in now and then, and over time become 'absorbed' into our group, but it's not that easy. We were born out of EYKIW and B&C, and we all have similar attitudes and personalities. Most of us are masters of the British art of 'taking the piss', and our similarities make it ultra easy for us to get along... but harder for new people to ingratiate themselves with us.

I was one of the founding members of the superthread, and I'm glad of it, because there are other places on Interference where I was never quite able to fit in. The Temple Bar, and yes, PGP. Of the handful of times I tried posting here, I felt that I was either ignored (probably not intentionally) or that my personality just didn't mesh well with the people posting here. It's just not my kind of place. No offense, but PGP is the place for hugs, the Superthread is the place for taking the piss out of eachother.

I actually found it surprising when people seemed to start migrating from PGP to the superthread. At first I thought maybe PGP had disappeared or something, but I see that's not the case.

I don't know. If you like PGP better, maybe just stick with PGP?

I know it's going to suck...but at least I'll have little reminders and stories

My advice: do as many fun things as you are able to to help balance out some at times.

Most of the time during the real bad weeks I did come out of it naturally b/c I have a lot of interests, and sometimes the weather here was absolutely gorgeous so the green trees, deep blue skies, and lots of flowers in my neighborhood helped to cheer me up.
A few times I forced myself out of it when it seemed to be getting too much in the way of things needed, wanted, or both to be done.

But you do as you can Weldy.
we're here to help as we can.

did I see zooey got a new kitteh? I just got 2 myself today! They were to cute and pathetic, outside in the rain in a cardboard box outside of walmart when I went to pick up my prescriptions. And of course I had to get 2, so they wouldn't be lonely. My dh just went along with it, not wanting to send me into crazytown by saying no I guess

so we got 2 boys, Holy Joe and Joshua. My kids were allowed no say in naming them but otherwise they are all about the kitteh love.

Oh yay for new kitties. Mine's a grown up cat - I always feel bad for those older ones at the SPCA. And my son named her Sammi (don't know why but I didn't argue). I love your kitty names. Nothing quite like a little fuzzball or two to keep you warm at night!

yeah, my kids are still trying to come to a meeting of the minds (=fighting) about where the kitties will sleep. I'd say they will sleep anywhere and everywhere they want, lol.
