Sue, a couple of mine "met" a dog last week, and they were fine. My neighbour had his huuuge black dog out, and I went out to talk to him, and brought a couple of kittens out to show him. The dog was all excited, wanting to jump up and see the kittens (I really think animals have no perception of their size, and the dog thought they would make appropriate playmates ). Zoey was a little nervous, but I don't think it was the dog that made her that way, it was the outdoor noises in general. Jack seemed more curious about the dog, looking down from my arms. I think he happily would have tried to play with him. Meanwhile, while all this was going on, Kitty was in my hallway, looking out the front door, arching her back and hissing, so she's obviously had a run-in or two with dogs. Eventually I'd like to get another dog, so they'll have to get used to them, but for now I'd say that I have my hands full.

My parents' cat Leon does that, too. He puts his head under a chair in their bedroom, and when we go in there and say "Where's Leon?" he pops out.

It's the bottom of the couch. Around the bottom edge, the upholstery is sort of pleated. She can't actually fit under the couch, so she lays along side it and hides her head under that flap. She doesn't like Coke so she does that when he's around. Little does she know he comes by and sniffs her butt.

what are u psychic or something.. ![]() I just got the call from the vet. The biopsy came back at Mast Cell tumor (Mastocytoma). Which she said doesnt spread or metastize, is rare if it does. But also this type of cancer is rare in cats and more common in dogs. She said surgery to remove is up to us. They can't tell how advanced it is by that without removing it. She said with her age maybe its best for now to just watch her. There is more of a risk with her age, the fact that she can't handle the vet, Anesthesia, etc. The tumor/bump has gone down and is almost unnoticable I can feel it still and its not firm but soft. She isn't showing any other symtoms and is herself in eating, drinking, going to the bathroom etc. She has lost a little weight in the last year (however, since we can't weigh her and that she hasn't been to the vet in 6 yrs we don't know how much for sure) enough to barely notice but the vet didn't seem to make this a major concern.. It's hard to say that isn't just due to her age or this. She said its a risk either way and didn't strongly lean to either.. Like I said leaving it up to us.. I DON'T KNOW.. WHAT TO DO.. Other questions I could ask. Looking at this on the internet isn't helping me much. and I am confused too... Do you know of anyone who has had a cat with this type of cancer? The vet is gone for the day and won't be back till thursday.. ![]() where do I turn? Help!!!!!!
