Oh no I'm so sorry! How old is the cat? I don't know anything about this condition...but I guess if it were my cat and the cat was older than 12-15 or so, I'd leave it be as long as the cat is not in pain or quality of life is suffering. I hate anaesthesia and surgeries and such, especially on such small animals like cats and ones that are older...

thanks lies!

she's 15. I am leaning toward leaving her for now and just monitoring her...I really don't want to put her thru surgery at this stage in her life. At the same time I want to do that so as to remove the chance of it metastizing elsewhere(if it hasn't already).

this is breaking my heart...

I've BTDT. You *don't* know what to do. You just wish the little creatures could tell you how they feel. My Maxie didn't have this sort of cancer, but he was diagnosed at 15 as well.

Hopefully, Bonosloveslave will have some answers -- though it's still going to be you having to make decisions, etc.

Hugs to you and yours.

again thanks everyone.. bonosloveslave gave me a good bit of info so I am gonna use that and ask more questions of the vet tomorrow when she gets back.. This is just tearing me up.. I look at her and she seems fine, herself but I know that cats hide pain, illness so you have no way of knowing until they are in a crisis.

Yknow what, Isabella looks like a dilute tortie. Torties have TORTITUDE!! And they are fighters. Chichi was a tortie and she totally proved the vet wrong in how long she had to live.

U2Fanatic and Isabella. I hope you get news that reassures you when you talk to your vet again.

Last night, we had some errands to run, so we decided to take two of the kittens that have never been out of the house with us. what should have taken maybe 30 - 45 minutes ended up taking well over two hours, but they were SO good! And we got to show them off.

Also...last night when I was changing the litter boxes, I'd just dumped one and was about to refill it with clean litter when Jack jumped into it and peed...in the empty box. Wtf, Jack??

Sounds like a dominance thing... Has Jack been fixed?
