I'm glad nothing is seriously wrong with Chloe. I can just see her trying to get at your chicken dinner. My mom's cat Sara does the same thing.

I hate this time of year b/c Roscoe sheds like crazy! I have been using the Furminator on him for days and the hair just keeps coming! His back is now all sleek, his summer coat, but his neck is still so furry! Meezer is shedding too. He has shorter, coarser fur but it's blond and it shows up everywhere!

Will is my good boy whose coat gets a good brushing at the beginning of June and then he's pretty much good to go with maintenance brushings.

So. Much. Cat. Hair. At least I can bring them out on the porch to brush them.

Get well Chloe!

This afternoon I caved. Our in-laws camped in our backyard last night (don't ask) so I had to bring in all this stuff. Now that Beckham thinks he can run out whenever he pleases, it's honestly easier just to have him outside than needing another person to post at the door while I bring stuff in. He hasn't worn a figure eight harness in almost 2 years but he didn't care (usually they flop over and act like they are dying or try to rub it off).

"Hey, how come Coke gets a 30' radius!?!"

This reminds me, everyone needs Frontline...

Lily She's in the window waiting for my sister, her mommy, to come home to feed her. She's like this every single day at starting about 4:00 until my sister's car pulls up into the driveway.

Cats are wonderful.

My DH is making a presentation on Monday about how to get along with different personality types. He is going to use our 4 cats as examples, but wanted to get pictures of them exemplifying their personalities.

Ha.

Trying to get 4 cats to do basically what they'd normally do doesn't work. Big Neo is the innovator -- he opens the doors in the house by himself. Big Murphy is the deep thinker. Jack is the do-er. Smokey is the "touchy-feely" type.

I was like herding cats. Finally got Neo to stand up to open a door, DH sat at the computer with Murphy and discussed flow charts, we have wild-man Jack up on the transom swatting at DH.

And Smokey? He sucks my left earlobe ... he was an equal opportunity sucker when he was a baby, but now it's me ... and the left earlobe only, not the right. 16-pound lug and he still has to get up and suck my ear.

lol, Saki licks my earlobes. He doesnt suck on them, he licks them. First he licks one earlobe for a while then goes to the other .. all the while purring and making a nest in my hair.. its really cute

Chloe's acting a little strange today. She came barging into my room at 6 am, and every time I take her downstairs she goes right back up to my room.

I also found a little diarrhea on the carpet downstairs this morning, but I think it was just a leak.

He kind of felt her, asked me all sorts of questions (has she been vomiting? no. how's her appetite? fine. did she have any milk before this? no.)

They took her temperature and that was normal. I brought in a stool sample but it was several hours old and so they couldn't run any tests.

He didn't seem too concerned about her, he said he wanted to treat this "conservatively" so he gave me packets of powdered stuff to sprinkle on her food once a day for 3 days...he said it's supposed to introduce the good kind of bacteria into her digestive system or something. He said if she's not back to normal by Monday to give him a call.

She's starting to act a little better.

I do this when they don't attack my hands. Along with the lint remover rollers.
Jack just did the hairball cough, but no hair ball. What's good to buy? He has long hair and even when he and Max (short hair) are wrestling I notice he grooms Max, his brother.
Yes Maxie has balls, so I have 2 male kittens. I'm such a cat sex organ reject.

I'm in trouble now, my Jack is almost there.

Petromalt, Laxatone, etc. but brushing works best. Zoey likes to be brushed but Saki wants to kill me.

Laxatone works well for Chloe, who has long hair.

She finally came downstairs late this afternoon and has been acting relatively normal since then. She stalked squirrells, ate, followed me around as I fixed myself some grilled chicken and demanded she have some, though I think her tummy may be upset because she hisses when I pick her up, but she loves it when I pet her
