Callie says it's time to post a new picture of her--she's relaxing on the table in the storage room. She's my baby!

I take responsibility for finding Miss Callie for MsPurrl. I saw her at a Petsmart and thought she was just perfect for her!

I'm moving to a new city in 2.5 weeks so my vet gave me some Atravet (mild tranquiling pill) so Misha, my precious Siamese, can relax during the 4.5 hour journey. The vet I suggested I give her one on a day prior to the trip to ensure it works as it makes some cats even more vocal than usual. Anyway, I gave her one this morning and she's been tripping on things, falling over herself, having trouble jumping on the bed, etc. I shouldn't laugh but it's been absolutely hilarious!
![]() On the ride down I'll keep her in her carrier but how will she go to the bathroom? If we stop, will she know to take advantage? Can she wait 5-6 hours? Will she go in her carrier? Thanks! |

I drove 2 days to move from Indiana to Florida, with my old man cat, Maxie, in his carrier on the passenger seat. I'd covered the back seat with plastic and put his litter box back there. We'd stop about every 4 hours and I'd let him out (inside the car, never opened the doors!) and put him back there. He knew what to do.
![]() The vet had given us kitty-cat valium to give him, but he always reacted strangely. While it made him act "drunk," it also made him more vocal. The second day I didn't give him anything. Of course, he was an older cat (17), so he might have just been more mellow. |

That's a good idea although I doubt there will be a backseat in the U-haul. I'll bring the cat litterbox with us in the van.
