I just saw Gnarls Barkley at the Hollywood Bowl.

They covered RECKONER. I am not kidding.

It was awesome.

It's hard to pick favorites with that one. Cardinal Song is a fantastic opener with great lyrics. The scream on Slipping Husband gives me chills every time. 90 Mile Water Wall is simple and stunning. Murder Me Rachael cracks something fierce. Available is is rollicking and contains more Berninger screaming, which is always a good thing. And Lucky You breaks my heart every time.

I love it. Which are yours then? WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO PLAY?

Thinking about it, Cee-Lo Green's voice would sound perfect on that. Very cool.

Lucky You and 90-Mile Water Wall are as good as anything else they've ever done. Slipping Husband and Available are also quite enjoyable. The entire album is surprisingly solid, in a lot of ways it's sadly probably stronger as a whole than Boxer.

Yeah, it was. He was awesome, and you could make out the words better than when Thom sings it. I mean, there is no way to decipher that shit without a lyric sheet.

They also covered Gone Daddy Gone by the Violent Femmes. That was weird.

Yeah, that was on the first album.

I'm not sure if it's Cee-Lo or Danger Mouse that are picking the songs to cover, but they seem to do a good job of it.

The Violent Femmes apparently did an EP covering 'Crazy'. Awesome.

He's brilliant!

Ne Me Quitte Pas, Le Moribond, Les Flamandes and Amsterdam are just four of his many excellent songs.

Never said anything against him just said he's struggling to get anyone voting for him in the Artist League so far

I think I'm way late to this party because I believe the song has been out for over a year now but, wow, I really fucking dig that MGMT song 'Time to Pretend'

How are the other songs by these guys? Should I buy the album or what?

I've seen them live and didn't like much other than that song, GAF. Others here seem to like them and the album though.

I think the MGMT album is good but not great. I like the psychedelic vibe and the mix of influences, but to me some songs come off as all fancy dressing and no truly memorable melodies.
