I can't stop listening to "A Means to an End" by Joy Division. Literally. Cannot stop.

Oh shit! I just realized I missed a free Gin Blossoms concert on July 25th!

I feel your pain, there are 5 or 6 JD songs I'm listening to numerous times a day since watching Control. Maybe a Joy Division thread will be brought back from the dead as well...

Let's just say, hypothetically, that I haven't heard much of Joy Division's music.

Hypothetically, where should I start?

They only have two albums.

Start with Unknown Pleasures, just like your ancestors did.

I agree with LeMeL's starting choice.

I would like to add that while they only have 2 actual studio albums, a number of their biggest songs are only available on 'Substance', which for some reason even iTunes doesn't sell. I'm not sure why they picked 'Still' instead of 'Substance' for the remastering / deluxe edition.

has anyone heard of A Perfect Kiss? They're like...a mix of Sunny Day Real Estate-style emo and post-rock elements with big, punch-along choruses and lots of atmosphere. Good stuff

I'm really loving Aphex Twin's Drukqs album lately
I wasn't really able to listen to it as an album before
but now it feels like being trapped in his body for the entire 2 disk duration

I've been the same with Sonic Youth's "Shadow of a Doubt." Thanks, Blade Runner:

For what it's worth I haven't stopped listening to Dig, Lazarus Dig! since it came out.

The video for More News From Nowhere is sublime as well.
