I'm done with the Bond-a-thon.

That's cool though. I keep wanting to do a huge director/series marathon, but never end up stickin' to it.

I recorded Ambersons from TCM and may either watch that or The Insider, depends on my mood.

I stuck to it....no other movies during that stretch.

Want to watch a few random flims, including Sunshine, then move on to the big WKW-a-thon.

Sunshine was completely worth it in the theater, I wonder how it transfers to home viewing.

It would be beautiful in HD.

what's the general consensus on Michael Clayton?
it's the only new release at my local blockbuster that's always there, but it looks like a bit of a snoozer.

Well it's a thriller but a character piece as well. Think The Firm if Tom Cruise's character was more interesting, with less chase scenes.

It's good, but you'll definitely want to pay attention as it doesn't make things glaringly obvious.

(it was also the co-winner of Best Original Screenplay at the Interference Movie Awards!)

Ambersons is a little slow, I wouldn't start it late unless you have the energy.

Pacino's obnoxious scenery-chewing in The Insider should keep you awake no matter what.

"Are you a BUSiness man or are you a NEWSman?"

It must have been hard for him to work with an actor that is far more nuanced and subtle.

Is it just me, or were Joshua Jackson (Pacey from Dawson's Creek) and Paul Thomas Anderson separated at birth?

Some of us just like him for his films.

Ask Maya Rudolph, if you must know.

He could've been Marky Mark's stand-in at the end of Boogie Nights.

You never know, Laz.
