I just got depressing news, so I think I'm going to go see "Man On Wire". Indie films and documentaries always seem to make me feel better when I'm really down.

Don't be down. Mr. Snuffalufagus isn't just an imaginary friend anymore. Everyone can see him!

any Michael Douglas fans here, I hope you have checked out his film:

King of California

because I found it bloody brilliant, he and Rachael were just

Douglas at his best (one of).

So I watched Transformers. It kinda sucked. What can you say about Michael Bay? He's an asshole. But there were some fun moments, I guess. And it was a genius move casting Megan Fox. You will be meeting her soon in the Hottest Girls Around thread.

Oh yeah and Optimus Prime is a badass. Make no mistake about that. But the final fight between Optimus and Megatron was lame. They didn't even show any of it. Ahhhh oh well.

Thank you, Starz.

But I put the little "reject" smiley after my statement; isn't that a magic cure-all that makes everything all better?

I needed to go Advanced for this one:

BLOODSPORT

9/10. Friggin brilliant. I totally loved this film and will watch it again and again, I'm sure. Fucking awesome. I deducted one point because the acting, story, dialogue, etc. were fucking awful. But who gives a shit?

Traitor- Very good, though I think I love everything Don Cheadle is in.

Tropic Thunder

Glad I saw this in the theater, it was much more clever and humorous than I was expecting. I was amazed by all the big names with cameos and full on parts in the film that weren't advertised as being in the movie. Quite entertaining, there are definitely some lines from it that I'll be quoting for the next few weeks.

I watched Tropic Thunder yesterday. It was tasteless, ridiculous and totally enjoyable; it did have a few flat patches but when it was good it made me laugh pretty damn hard. I've noticed BTW that the audience, who otherwise lapped the movie up, were really really quiet during Tom Cruise scenes, as if they didn't know how to react.
