Ghostbusters 3... The Game?

So it turns out there won't be a sequel in the film sense of the word, but there will be a badass next-gen game continuing the adventures of the Ghostbusters (all of them, even Bill "He's the Zissou" Murray).

This is exciting and probably gives me more incentive to move to a next-gen console. That and the HD-DVD of course.

Hopefully it ends up being good. Its awesome that the whole cast is involved, but unfortunately Sierra isn't a very consistent developer. Hopefully if this gets hyped, they'll get the resources to make it a good game.

There's a lot of "hopefully"s attached to this project for me as well. How have the other film -> game crossovers been? The only ones that come to mind are The Godfather and Scarface and they sold well, but I never heard about the gameplay.

Either way, this could be an exciting medium for unrealized film sequels.
