Question about searching: Does it not let me get to the exact post I am looking for or am I doing something wrong?

A while back I posted some pics and info in one of the very looooooong threads. I'm looking for a certain picture and I know it's in there, but I have no clue on which page. So I did a search for a dog's name that will bring me to that post, and it did find it, but the search result just gives me the thread which is like 40 pages. Will it not take me directly to the post containing the phrase I searched for?

Under the Search Options, make sure you select "Show results as posts". "Show results as threads" is automatically selected by default, so you need to change it.

OK I see what I did wrong, I browsed to the forum the thread was in and used the Search field, which doesn't have that option.
